Description
The yarn that endures through generations.
In 1927, when 25-year-old Erling Digernes took over a small wool mill in Veblungsnes, there were only three workers and simple machines. Today, nearly a century later, the third generation of the Digernes family still spins in the same fjords, by the same river – the Rauma, one of Norway’s most beautiful. Between high mountains and deep blue fjords, something unique is created here: yarn that carries an entire nation within it.
Finull is more than just wool. It is Norwegian spirit, spun from the wool of Norwegian sheep, in Norwegian hands, with Norwegian knowledge. A two-ply carded yarn that is so airy and voluminous it almost seems to float. 175 meters of pure Nordic tradition in every 50-gram ball.
The bombs of the Second World War could destroy the mill, but not the will. It was immediately rebuilt, spun on, dreamed on. What emerged is a yarn with the resilience of its homeland: elastic like the Norwegian soul, shining like the northern lights, strong enough to last generations.
Finull does what you want – and more. You can knit it fine or coarse, use it alone or combine it with other yarns. It holds its shape, becomes softer after every wash, and shows patterns as clearly as if they were carved in ice. The vast color range honors the Norwegian tradition of patterned knitting – from the colors of the flag to the shades of the fjords.
Perfect for everything: sweaters that last a lifetime. Hats that withstand storms. Mittens that tell stories. Blankets that give warmth when winter rules outside. Or simply for the feeling of holding a piece of authentic Norway in your hands.
Finull is the yarn for your great dreams. For projects that are not only beautiful today but still in twenty years. For knitted works that pass from one generation to the next, growing ever more beautiful.
